Washington D.C. Restaurants And If They Are Worth The Money

Updated: Aug 13, 2023

I got the chance to visit Washington D.C. for four days in December. While there I got to try lots of new things. My top favorite place had to be Pitango Gelato. It was an Italian Cafe. It was amazing. I got to try their hot chocolate it was very rich. I think their sample since was definitely plenty. I then bought a type of expresso drink which had to be the best coffee I have ever had. The person working here was so incredibly kind and he took his time to explain what the drinks and food were and how he recommended ordering them. I cannot recommend this place enough.

The Shake Shack was more of a chain-fast food type restaurant. It was on the pricier side for fast food but that's to be expected as it was Washington D.C. They had lots of seating and texted you when your food was done. Which I found very convenient as the table I sat at was not close to the front counter.

Bust Boys and Poets was more of a breakfast/lunch type of place. It was so incredibly cute. It was partly a bookstore. They also had tons of different seating options. I think their food was good. Though I did feel they didn't have a wide variety of options.

I feel as though my review for the Cracked Egg is a tad bit skewed as I am not a huge fan of eggs. I was traveling with a group though and I did not have a big say in where we ate. I got their truffle tater tots which were good. Of course, given the name they did not have many options that did not include eggs. They did have very limited seating which was a tad inconvenient. I personally would not eat here again but their service was fast, and the workers were relatively nice.

The last place I purchased something was Compass Coffee. Compass Coffee was located directly next to the Cracked Egg. This place was convenient since I started out right next door. I did happen to find their coffee bland though. The service was okay. I personally would not recommend it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read. If you would like to follow my journey, feel free to subscribe to my website or any of my other socials.
