Some Of My Favorite Places To Eat In North Carolina

I lived in North Carolina for about four months. I lived and worked at my job, and they were my main source of food. Given my job provided food and housing I was not paid a ton. So, I did not have the chance to visit as many places as I would have liked.
My favorite place to eat by far was The Foothills. It was located in Black Mountain, North Carolina. They had indoor seating, but I never went inside so I can't comment on what the inside is like. Though I do think it is great they offer indoor seating for those who need/want it. The restaurant is set up so you can order food and drinks at the window. You are then given a card or a number and that will be called when your food is done. They cook all the food in a food truck. You will pick up your food from there. They have a spout on the side of the building for water that's free if you choose not to order a drink. I am a huge fan of their burgers and fries. They have a sand pit with toys for children to play. They also have firepits and picnic tables in the center when it gets warmer out. If you only have a chance to eat at one place this would be the one I recommend.
The next place I would recommend would be Ole Guacamole. It is an authentic Mexican restaurant. They have amazing food. The restaurant has a great feel and very good service. It is about five minutes from the heart of Downtown Black Mountain. I would definitely eat here again if I ever got the chance.
I am normally more of a bar food type of person, but I was trying to expand my palate. I got fried shrimp from Stone Bowl which is a Korean restaurant. All of my friends really enjoyed their meals here and they got the Stone Bowls. I would also highly recommend the shrimp though it was an appetizer, so I was still hungry after finishing. Hindsight is 20/20 and I do wish I got the Stone Bowl that was recommended to me. The reason I opted not to purchase that was the price. They were on the more expensive side and as previously mentioned I did not have a ton of excess cash. The restaurant was smaller, so it did feel a bit crowded in my opinion though. The restaurant was located in Asheville.
The Easy Girl Eatery is located in Downtown Asheville. I really liked this restaurant it was very good. The inside was cute, and the service was good. It was a very popular restaurant though which did cause it to be a bit crowded. There was also a long wait. The only downside I had with this restaurant is the fact it was primarily a breakfast place and they only served black coffee. I do believe they offered sugar and cream, but I was hoping for a bit more variety in their coffee selection.
The final place on my list is the Black Mountain Bistro. Their chicken sandwich was good. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. I never went inside so I again can't comment on that, but the outside was very aesthetic. They had fireplaces and heaters and cute lights. The umbrellas also lit up if you needed more light. The staff was very helpful with recommendations. This place was also more popular and did have a wait, but I definitely think it was worth the wait.

It looks like we will need to visit Washington, D.C., Asheville, N.C., and Florida soon! You've given great tips for food & coffee, and clearly stated your reasons for rating the venues as you did. Great job, Kylee! This made for some interesting reading. We are sending love to you as you continue to experience new adventures.
