There are tons of other coffee shops in North Carolina of course but seasonal work doesn't pay the best, so these were the few I had the opportunity to try.

Malaprop is located in the center of Downtown Asheville. They have street parking right by their location but I personally either used the parking garage or the street parking down by the parking garage. It is about a three-minute walk from the street parking. I would highly recommend checking out this bookstore even if it's not for the coffee. The store is adorable, and I loved spending my mornings there. My "other" rating for this place was based on the fact it was a bookstore. The only downside I found is the fact there was no seating. I think they could have had a lot more customers if they did offer seating options.

The Dripolator was highly recommended to me. It was one of the first places I tried when moving to North Carolina. The location was very close to where I lived but in the scheme of things, Black Moutian most likely won't be close to where most people stay. It was a very small, cute coffee shop. However, given its size, it was always very loud and crowded which wasn't the vibe I normally tend to for when sitting at a coffee shop. That is why the "other" score is so low.

Trade and Lore Coffee was very cute. It was definitely the most aesthetic out of all of the coffee shops I went to. Their menu was quite small, but I will admit I also prefer when coffee shops give me preset drinks to choose from verse ingredients for me to pick and add together. That did lower their score for me personally. Their coffee was good. They are located in Downtown Asheville, so it was somewhere I passed constantly. It was normally pretty empty when I passed it. Which is why they received a lower score for "other". I prefer when there are other customers so there is some level of noise.

Izzy's Coffee Den is not the biggest or the most aesthetic. It is located in Downtown Asheville and seemed to be a fairly busy place. Truthfully it did not catch my eye and the only reason I went there is that I was told they had public bathrooms. They didn't they were for customers only. So, I then had to buy something. The coffee was okay. I just would never have picked it had I not been told to go there.

The Rhu had amazing food and amazing hot chocolate. My coffee was good but could have been better. The aesthetic of this place was great. They had upstairs seating if the main floor was full which was very nice. The upper levels were quieter. I would definitely go back again. I would definitely say if you were looking for a fun day out go here for breakfast and downtown is right there. It was super convenient to walk to basically the whole city.

Sassafras on Sutton was the first place I went. It was super cute and very close to where I lived. The coffee was an ingredient place which again I am not a fan of, but it was good overall. It is located in a small town so the bookstore that is attached doesn't have a ton of options, but it was a place I frequently visited. If you are ever in Black Mountain, I would definitely recommend you check it out.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post and I hope you get the chance to check out these coffee shops.
